The Cottage came to us late in 2020 from another local beekeeper after their neighbor was unconvinced that honeybees make perfectly respectable neighbors. It was so sad to receive a hive from such passionate caretakers and we hope to live up to their high standards of care. The hive entered our apiary strong and ready for winter.
By spring of 2021, it was obvious that The Cottage was going to be the flagship colony. They were consistently strong, healthy, and in good spirits. In total, the Cottage produced over 150 pounds of honey and is ready to tackle the upcoming winter.
